About

Hi, Venchito Tampon here.

speaking engagement

My mission is to help A MILLION people in the world to stop their addiction to the internet, whether it is playing video games or using social media excessively.

That’s me in the photo — motivating thousands of young professionals and students here in the Philippines.

Today, I live a life filled with purpose, passion, vision, freedom – and so much more. But it didn’t start out that way.

Growing up I played video games (mostly role playing games – RPG) online for 10 to 12 hours a day.

I say it again – 10 to 12 hours a day!

It was only around 7 or 8 when playing computer games turned into an addiction. After a couple of years, I became used to it that my body can’t go to sleep without having played 2 hours of my favorite game.

By the time I started my studies at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, I was a total freak computer addict. On top of that, I felt that I don’t have purpose in life because I didn’t have many friends and wasn’t that productive — even for just one day.

Who Can Teach You How to Stop Addition to Internet or Playing Video Games?

One night I said to myself “I should quit playing video games or else my life would be wasted”.

I decided to study online how to quit addiction, reading all the best pieces of advice to quit playing video games.

But it wasn’t easy. “it’s easier said but done,” so they say.

What I’ve realized is that most of the information out there on quitting internet addiction was not only bad – but USELESS!

First, so-called “game quitting experts” will tell you, “reduce your playing time to 75 percent then do your best to make it 25 percent after 7 days”.

You do the exact time but you find yourself going back to the same routine.

It doesn’t work for all types of gamers.

These research paper experts haven’t experienced the same situation you’re in or even just a glimpse of the peak state of addiction .

You need someone you can relate to, teach you how to quit in the best way possible, and make your life more meaningful.

That’s me.

I’m not saying this to brag.

But with 12 years of computer addiction, I know how it feels like to postpone family/friend gatherings not to stop what I was playing back then.

I know because I experienced those myself.

Second, writers of “how to quit addiction” articles and blog posts only have compelling and interesting ideas. Their clickbait headlines will probably make you read the entire post.

If you are a plain reader and don’t care about the background of the authors or writers, you would simply believe every word that they say.

I know what I’m saying…

Because I have already been a content writer for 2 years back in 2011.

If I don’t know much about the topic. I’ll google it, read the top 10 ranking pages and get each interesting tip from every post and compile it for my article. Submit it to my boss and it’s done.

It’s so simple to write an article today even if you’re not an authority on the subject.

But I know what you’re thinking…

You only want to listen from subject matter experts.
